The last essay structure

Today we're going to begin looking at the last major assignment of the trimester: the argumentative essay. Today we will look at the structure of an argumentative essay. The rest of the week will be spent practicing with the structure, and analyzing different ways of outlining your essay. Next week you will begin writing. (It's not too early to think about your topic!)

A hard copy of your rough draft will be due Wednesday, November 23. The final draft of your essay will be due on Thursday, December 1.

This essay must be four pages, standard format (Times New Roman, double-spaced, one-inch margins).

 Now that we've gone through the structure of an argumentative essay, open the attachment entitled, "Neuter Your Pet." It contains an example of an argumentative essay, and some questions about the structure, Read the essay, answer the questions that follow, and send back to me as an attachment.

    When i am trying to win an arguement, i look back at Facts and things that were stated that i could benefit from.

    i don't argue. it useless, if you win or don't. i don't stress my self to commite to such complications with other's. i just remain quite and observe the outcome. regardless of who right or wrong, regardless of opinions as well.

    When trying to win an argument I try to prove my point with evidence. I use evidence as well to prove the opposite side wrong.

    Whenever I try to win an argument I try my best to support my claim with a lot of evidence and facts. I try my best to provide facts and not opinions.

    I make my claim as clear as possible and be detailed, back it up with fact. Also, I listen to what the other person has to say and argue against it

    When I try to win an argument, I overthink exactly what I'm trying to prove and I try to look up as much information as I can and I summarize it.

    When making an arguement, you have to provide strong facts about the topic and youre own opinion on it.
